Griffin Partners and EDB sign a partnership memorandum at the Eurasia 2030+ forum

On 25 June 2026 in Almaty, at the Eurasia 2030+ international forum, Griffin Partners and the Eurasian Development Bank signed a memorandum of cooperation in Central Asian warehouse real estate.

The event that starts the partnership

The memorandum is the start of a strategic partnership between two players with different, complementary experience: Griffin Partners with international development expertise, and EDB as a financial institution that systematically supports Eurasia’s transport and logistics infrastructure.

The first joint project will be the class A+ warehouse complex Griffin Logopark Almaty at the junction of the A3 highway and Al-Farabi Street.

What participants said

The ceremony was accompanied by remarks from all parties. The tone was consistent: the partnership is seen as a step for the regional market as a whole, not only for a single asset.

Aibol Rakhimbayev, head of the Entrepreneurship and Industrial-Innovative Development Department of Almaty Region, noted the project’s strategic importance for the region’s transport and logistics potential and welcomed cooperation with EDB.

Sergey Ignatov, Senior Managing Director at EDB, called cooperation with Griffin Partners a strategic partnership and noted the arrival of an experienced international developer on the Central Asian market. Joint projects, he said, should set a new quality standard for warehouse real estate in the region — for the bank, a step in the strategy for Eurasia’s transport and logistics framework.

Oleg Gusakov, representing Griffin Logopark Almaty LLP, stressed that EDB support makes it possible to deliver the project with predictable timelines, transparent terms and stable operations. Partnerships of this kind are a foundation for development of the territories around the asset.

Why it matters

Signing at Eurasia 2030+ is a public confirmation that the project is moving from understandings to an institutional partnership with a major international financial institution. Class A+ warehouse real estate in Central Asia is becoming a focus not only for developers, but for development banks with a long horizon and high transparency requirements.
